Layered pepper mills.
Made with layers of walnut, poplar, red oak, black oak with colored veneers. Also having colored veneers placed between the layers to further accent the colors. Using Titebond III adhesive for extra strength. Finished with Shellac (three coats with sanding 220 grit between coats).

Pepper grinder turned from Cherry wood with Shellac finish (3 coats). Fun to make different shapes. Use 3 rings to denote pepper mill, with salt mills not having any lines. This was done using wire and friction burning it into the wood while turning at 800rpm, to get black color.
Osage Orange natural edge bowl. Finished with polyurethane (3 coats).
Square bowl with legs turned from NARRA wood. Finished with polyurethane (3 coats).
Square bowl turned from CASTELLO BOXWOOD. Finished with Danish Oil.
Dogwood Y-branch. Wanted to turn a unique 3-legged bowl. Need to be very careful as you are cutting air-wood, so need to turn up the rotation to 1000rpm to smooth out the cutting? Really sounds like a popellor at this speed. Finished with polyurethane with 3 coated and 220 grit between coats.
Simple bowl turned from Black Walnut wood. Finished with Shellac. Really like the pretty grain and colors of this wood.
Bowl turned from KOA (Hawaii) wood. Really pretty wood with colorful grains. Finished with polyurethane (3 coats).
Small bowl made from color pencils, glued together as a block with epoxy glue in a plastic container. The curve shape show pretty shapes.
Bowl with center stock turned from Cherry wood with Shellac finish (3 Coats). I drilled a shallow hole in the top of the stock and glued in two rare earth magnets. These powerful magnets can hold many sewing pins to make it decorative and functional for a seamstress or quilter. Colored pins make it attractive.
Triple bowl or serving piece. Exploring functional serving vessels with multiple levels. Could be used to serve candy or chips/nuts?
Larger triple bowl turned from Magnolia wood (finished with polyurethane). Wider bowls allow serving chips, cakes, etc.
Walnut handled screw driver. 1" copper pipe used to reinforce screw driver shaft (Ferrule). Screw driver features 4 tips that can be fitted.
Box with lid turned from Cherry wood. In the lid I drilled a shallow hole and glued in a rare earth magnet. This allows decorative items such as paper clips, nails, etc to form interesting structures on the magnetic. Fun to adjust the shapes. Box can also keep the items when not in used?

A screw driver handle turned from American Mahogany from an old part of a boat. Finished with Shellac (3 coats). Copper pipe to reinforce the screw driver shaft.
Plate with insert. Walnut wood with insert wood poplar and red oak with colored veneer. Really pretty contrast. Finished with Shellac (3 coats).
Seam-rippers turned from Camphor burl, Zebra, Fig Bubinga and Purpleheart woods.
